"The Two Peacocks" is a hidden gem that cries out to be discovered as soon as possible. It's a small café (25m²) set behind a spectacular Art Nouveau glass facade designed by the architect François Hemelsoet in 1903.
The atmosphere inside is arty, intimate and tranquil. The comfortable interior's lovely decoration makes it an ideal spot for an exclusive cocktail reception, an intimate press conference or literary or artistic discussions. In short, an exceptional, unusual and original location for events with around ten participants.
Everything inside "Les Deux Paons" recalls the years around 1900: framed old postcards and sheet music on the walls, the beautiful original tiled floor, the flamboyant front canopy, the peacock-shaped lampshades looking down on the room, even the carefully-chosen cutlery and tableware.
A tasteful, refined and special world, which reminds us of the artistic salons of the early twentieth century, such as La Libre Esthétique, delighting established admirers of Art Nouveau or serving as a delightful introduction to the belle époque!
