Fosteau Castle
Fosteau Castle enjoys a marvellous location on a hilltop. The eight-angled courtyard is bordered by 4 towers. The fortified house dated back to the end of the 14the century, and a fortified farm was built in the 17th century. This was adapted in the 18th and 19th centuries. A second farm was added around 1839. A terraced French garden leads down to a lake. The first two levels were built in limestone and the last level was erected in brickwork in 1599.
The buildings on the courtyard were adapted in the 19th century, except for 3 cross windows. The stronghold contains a prestigious Knights' Hall (end of the 14th century), one of the most beautiful gothic halls in Belgium.
Be it for a dinner or a conference, the gothic hall and the various salons of the castle can hold from 5 to 150 guests. The French gardens with a surface of 3ha offer the peace and quiet that is typical of the surrounding nature. They are excellent for events with a pastoral character.
